I’ve used this punch to transfer hole patterns from a jig onto metal, and the spring-loaded cone keeps the alignment spot-on every time. The outer cup really helps square it up so the indent is centered. Works perfectly for varying hole sizes.

The spring-loaded cone and sliding outer cup keep everything perfectly square, so even with a wobbly template I got clean, accurate marks every time. It handled the larger hole sizes without any slipping, which is exactly what I needed.

The outer cup does exactly what it's supposed to—keeps everything square when you press down, so the marks come out dead-on every time. I used it with a template with a few different hole sizes and didn't have to fiddle at all.
